Music is one of those things that has been with me all my life, though I didn't start taking it particularly seriously until I first heard Metallica when I was around 9 or 10 years old. Since then I've been a huge fan metal music, including pretty much all subgenres (though for the last few years death/doom has been my biggest go-to genre). These days I also enjoy a few other kinds of music too, but for the most part it's still metal or rock. I have a Last.fm account which tracks (most of) what I listen to, in case anyone was interested.

My interest in metal led me to learn how to play guitar, which in turn led me to writing my own songs. Most of this section of the website is about stuff I've written. I'll usually write using ModPlug Tracker (OpenMPT), mostly because it's what I'm used to. Sometimes I'll record 'proper' guitars to go with them as well, though not that often since I don't really have good equipment for it.
